Chitwan: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayankaji Shrestha, emphasized that obstructing parliament and demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister goes against parliamentary values.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Centre Nepal, Chitwan chapter, DPM Shrestha expressed his confidence that political parties obstructing parliament would eventually cooperate to conduct parliamentary business.

Shrestha also addressed the issue of Prime Minister Dahal's alleged statement regarding India's support in his appointment. He stated that Prime Minister Dahal himself would clarify the situation and denied the claims of external influence.

Shrestha emphasized that the Prime Minister is elected from the parliament in a democratic governance system, as outlined in the constitution. He further stated that they were prepared to adhere to the constitutional provisions regarding the resignation of the Prime Minister.

Regarding a separate matter, Shrestha mentioned that although an ordinance against loan sharks had been nullified, efforts to ensure justice for the victims would continue. He explained that the bill replacing the ordinance should have been enacted in parliament the previous day. Since this did not occur, the ordinance became null and void.

However, Shrestha assured that the government-formed commission and the facilitation committee in the district would continue their tasks to address the issue of loan sharking and provide justice to the survivors.

Lastly, Shrestha affirmed that the police organization would operate independently to control crime, tackle scams, and take action against criminals and corruption.
